I finally got some Threadworx thread and was wondering… those of you who have used this string before- 1. how did you make a loop without folding the string in half? (Basically using two strings instead of one) 2. How long of a bracelet were you able to make? I really want to use these on some beautiful patterns but I don’t want to just have triangle ends on both sides.

Hey @MrsOtter2
I don’t know what threadworx string is, but for 1, I don’t think it’s possible to do a loop without folding the string in half. You could try knotting the two ends together, but I don’t think that’d look good. You might be able to lay them end to end (kinda like this : ——) and then using another string, make forward backward knots over them, but I don’t know if it would hold well.

Threadworx is a brand of string that’s hand dyed and not sold in retail stores. I love their variegated rainbow string but the only problem is that they cut their string into 1m pieces and that’s all they sell. The issue I’m trying to solve is how I would use that length of string for a bracelet that can fit people with larger wrists/ankles and I know if I fold it in half it won’t make the gradient I’m looking for and it’ll make a small bracelet. Idk if that cleared things up but I hope it did

I would just fold it in half and it should be enough, however you can always add another string like you would in an alpha if you run out :]
