I have no problems making alphas, but they take quite a while and since I sell them I need to make them quicker. Are there any ways at all to do this faster?

I would say try to make smaller, more minimalist alpha patterns that you can memorize (2, max 3 colors). this makes the crafting process easy, and as you practice more and more, you can make your bracelets faster. hope this helps! <3

You could also make the strings you are using pretty long so that you don't have to spend a lot of time adding new strings! 😊

When making an alpha, you can do what some people call "flipped knots" to make things go faster.Basically, you lay one string over another in the way you normally would, but instead of holding the base string and pulling the color string through the loop, you pull the shorter base string through instead. Then you have to tug on the base string so that the knot flips. Since you'll be pulling the short string through instead of the long one, it will save you a second or two on every knot, which should add up to a pretty big timesave in the end. If this explanation is a bit confusing, you can find pictures of what I'm talking about at the bottom of this tutorial, although they do it in a slightly different way but it still works: https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/153_advanced-knots-tutorial/ |
