Does any one use Rattail trim thread (like braided cord) as their base strings? I want to try u sing thicker base strings that are easier to buy in bulk. IF you do use the braided cord or whatever is 1mm or 1.5mm better?

Nvm im gonna go with crochet thread instead. What size would be best? Im thinking maybe size 10 but possibly size 8

I use dmc petra crochet thread in size 5. I’ve also heard of people using dmc cotton pearl thread, but I’ve never used it before. Hope this helps <3
