Hey guys so I’ve made countless of alphas and every time I have a problem with my ends I just haven’t figured out a good way to paste them down. I have tried fabric glue but that does not work cause when it gets wet it’ll melt and Elmer’s craft glue is good o scratchy so if you guys have any recommendations I would be soooooo happy 😃 Thank you!!!!!!!!! |

I just cut the strings as close as possible as I can. I do not wear my bracelets though and I mainly make keychains with alpha patterns. I heard that Masha Knots just cuts the strings, so I started doing what she did. I have used nail polish in the past and it works but I cannot stand the smell, lol. I use Aleene's Tacky Glue when I need to secure a string and I feel like if I cut it, it will show. It comes in a brown bottle and is pretty cheap. I have seen tacky glue at dollar tree! Not sure if it is Aleene's though.

@mrs_jordan I've never noticed a smell when using nail polish.

I tend to use a bit of Aleene's® Fabric Fusion glue to paste down my ends. It's more permanent but I like that it tends to stay flexible and doesn't seem to make the ends hard and scratchy like nail polish does. I've also used some regular Aleene's clear tacky glue before I discovered the Fabric Fusion glue.
