How do you add an odd number of strings and a line string to hang your wall hanging up? Any videos? Thanks.

normally I just put them on like usual and just don’t make knots on the last string then after the first few rows I tie it nice and the top and cut it off. it’s a good idea to make the base strings youre backround color when you dot this so the knot matches with the backround if you care about that!! 🙂

so if the wall hanging is 35 strings across, ill cut for 34 strings. so that’s 17 strings that ill fold in half to make 34. ill put those on the dowel. and then ill make the last string the color of the first string i will be using. ill cut it with base string length + leading string length (or not even cut it off the skein) and then attach with a larks head knot, one end being as long as the base string and the other will end up being the length of the leading string. hope this helps. tag me if you would like more clarifications bc it’s sounds rly complicated in writing

To add an odd number of strings onto the base, for the last string you could split it in half and then do a larks head knot like usual. For example if the pattern needed 21 base strings you could put 20 on normally and just do that for the 21st. Hope this helped 🙂
