Skinny black skeins

I have tried DMC and multiple off brands but it seems that all of the skeins of black that I buy are skinny. Especially compared to any other color! They are definitely still six strings however they just are very thin when compared. Unfortunately it's kind of annoying to work with. I've taken to adding additional strings but it's a hassle. Does anybody have any recommendations of brands? I just bought a giant black 310 cone thinking that it would not be skinny but long behold I was wrong. I'd appreciate help

If you are in the US, Walmart has packs of black and white embroidery floss. It is 36 skeins for under $5!

Dmc Petra size 5 has about the size of embroidery floss. For me it works well. It has a slightly different structure than the embroidery floss but I don't think it's really noticeable in the finished bracelet.

yeah walmart is kinda weird tho cuz for me, it seems that the black ones r thicker than any other color i have 🤷
