Thread thickness (Embroidery floss / pearl cotton)

I normally use embroidery thread made from polyester that comes in those bulk packs from Amazon. I noticed that thread made of polyester is thicker than thread made of cotton.Now I'd like to buy some pearl cotton by Anchor or DCM, but I'm unsure which thickness (5 or 8) I should choose? Which thickness is equal to normal polyester embroidery thread? 😊 |
