Hi! I recently made an alpha bracelet as a gift for a friend but they can't tie it up because the ties are too short and I didn't cut enough string for the base strings. Does anyone know how I could possibly lengthen the ties of the bracelet without having to redo it or make a new one?

Hi there, this is tricky without making the alpha ties a bit messy. What you can do is attach a jewelry fastener to the knots in both of the ties, and a lobster clamp to one of them to fasten. You can add a bit of extra chain to the loop before you attach the lobster clasp for more room. Hope this helps. If you don’t understand or have more questions feel free to ask 😀

If the ties actually do fit and are just too hard to tie, you can try making an adjustable knot type of closure. You'll just have to undo the ties if they're twisted or braided, and there are plenty tutorials for it online.

If the bracelet has a loop on one side, you could attach a set of ties to the loop using a larks head knot.
