Hope everyone who celebrates is having a good Christmas or general winter season 🙂

I got these Panduro metallic threads and whenever I knot with them, they always like slip out? I don't really have a great explanation but I was making a chevron, and I did the knot using the gold Panduro string and went on to the next string but the second I pulled on the gold string to make a knot around the next one, the knot on the first string like spun around so the colour I had knotted over with the gold was now showing. I know thats a really bad explanation but thats also happened sometimes to me when I pull the strings too tight so maybe that helps you think of what I'm talking about more. Due to this, the pattern looks really messy cause areas that are meant to be gold have slipped out and are the colours of the strings I knotted over instead. Has anyone else had this problem and what did you do to solve it? I think its cause the string is too slippery cause it has like no roughness to it at all like cotton strings do but I'm not sure!

Metallic strings are generally more slippery than regular strings, but this is an issue that can happen with regular strings too like you said.

To avoid it or to undo it just pull on the string you knotted onto and the knot should not flip or flip back.

ive got some from dmc, the knots arent even knotting and they are so slippery i can move the string a little bit and everything unties, you can reduce the strands from 6 to 4

I have bought packs of thread that have skeins that feel more slippery, almost satin like. I usually put these skeins aside and hopefully one day can find a bracelet to make with them, lol. I had this happen with Prism brand and thought I would try it anyway with an alpha and boy was it a mess!
