You can check out this photo I added https://www.braceletbook.com/photos/?type=a&added-by=halokiwi&pattern-id=29411In it I made the colour changing string the colour of the worm on a string. I think if you have a pattern with not too many colours that you can probably replace one of the bigger areas of one colour with color changing string. Here are some patterns where I think this could work #4847 #41683 #41467 #47765 but with the colour of the wing just being colour changing string and not two different colours |

I am trying to make my first alpha and it is so hard to do it. The instructions won't fit in the page and it says something about it being 50 LINES 🤯 😭 . I am doing this for school and it has to be done by at least January 10. Can you please help me?

@Idefixbook yeah for sure i can help! what’s the pattern number? and i’m pretty sure that 50 lines means 50 rows, which means that you have to go back and forth 50 times unless you’re adding other things. i would also recommend watching masha knots alpha tutorial video

@Idefixbook I guess it doesn’t make sense to post the same question in different threads that do discuss about specific problems. Either open your own thread and describe your problem as detailed as possible with leaving the pattern nunmehr as well as your problem description. Also there are many tutorial videos for beginners on making alphas, either here in the video section as well as on YouTube. Basically your question also leaves open whether you have to design a pattern or to knot an existing pattern. If it is an existing pattern, then simply print it and specify that print out has to fit on one page (normal or landscape) in width. Until 10th January it’s plenty of time to do an alpha as long as it isn’t like 100 base strings in width and 50 rows in length. Just to help you, please feed your helpers with details. I am new to alphas as well, but finished one today with 15 base strings and 52 rows and a total of 5 colors. Took me about 5 hours or so. So heads up, you’ve got plenty of time. |
