Hi there! I need help with my bracelets. I have been making them for almost a year and I don't like the way they look. Im having trouble with the knot tension and sizes of them. I used to make them non-stop during summer but stopped making them as actively when school started. Now when ever I do them (especially normals), they turn out lopsided or they just don't look well. It makes me dis-motivated and I don't know what to do. I tried to make my knots looser and tighter to find the perfect tension but it is not working. If you have any tips, PLEASE put them here. Anything will do 😊

Based on what you are describing, it seems like you are on a good way 🙂It does not really matter how tight you knot as long as it is consistent. To get consistency you need to keep practicing and also be mindful while knotting. For alphas the general advice is that they come out better if you don't knot too tight. I mainly do normals, so I can't really give you good advice on alphas. For normals make sure you pull the first half of the knot all the way up (you don't have to do that super tightly). When making the second half pay attention so the first half doesn't slide down. What I can also recommend for Normals is to not pull too much to the right or the left while knotting and to secure the bracelet close to where you are currently knotting to give it more stability while knotting. |

I don't really do normals, so I can't really give advice there. on the other hand with alphas (my specialty lol) make sure to do these things:- start in a straight row - make loose knots and push a finished row up with a ruler - use the straight edge technique - use the flat alpha technique hope this helps! ❤️ |
