🔥 would anybody know how to make a square-shaped pattern that I could use for a quilt square? 😊 also how would you start one? 🔥

I think the only way to do that is to do a flat start and pick a square shaped pattern (for example dimensions 25 by 25)/adjust it so that it’s a square

i would maybe recommend doubling base strings, im assuming you want an alpha. ive never doubled mine but i’ve heard they make the knots more square than rectangle

wait what do you mean by 'doubling base strings'? also, how should I secure the strings?

Doubling base strings means knotting on two strings instead of one. So if a pattern has 10 base strings, you’ll need to cut 20 strings, but each row still has the same amount of knots.

To secure your strings, I would suggest using tape
