Okay so i want to make a suit tie for my friend. I really want it to be a normalpattern but if people know how to do this for alphas too let me know! basically i need it to be able to taper really slowly. does anyone know a way of making the triangle ends taper slower? thanks! |

i would pick out a pattern and then draw how steep you want the triangle to be on it and then use the shaped bracelet technique? i'm not sure how to explain this well

You can definitely do triangle ends that are steeper than usual. I recently did that on a bracelet (no photo because the pattern isn't from here). It was more of trial and error and I don't really know how exactly I did it but if you first make the knots you want to start your bracelet with and then flip it upside down to do the edge knots it should be a bit easier.(A friend's mum once gave me a book on macrame and in it is a tie made using macrame. If you wanted to I'm sure I could provide you with a picture of that macrame tie for inspiration) |
