I'm currently starting pattern #63817, which is what I'd consider my first 'large' pattern. It has 60 strings, and it looks rather complicated. How would I start this pattern? Is it best as a wall hanging, or is it okay to make it a bracelet? Also, the pattern has a photo, which shows somebody's pattern separated and shaped. How do you do that? lol

For this pattern, I would suggest going a few rows at a time. For example, in the pattern, you could do the 1st 3 rows together (like a bunch of rows) and then knot till row 9 like segment knotting. You can proceed to do the bracelet in chunks of rows.Segment knotting is a little difficult to explain but there is a tutorial in the tutorials section and maybe some videos on YouTube to help you understand it better. As for the start, you could make 3 triangle starts and then join them together as you are making the bracelet. |

Well I think aiden707 is right about a good way to knot the pattern. In terms of whether it is good as a bracelet I would say that it is a bit big to be comfortable! I generally don't ware any bracelet with more than 36 strings, having said that I think it is different for everyone and it might work for you. I hope that is helpful 😊 |

@Zenna @aiden707 Thanks to the both of you! I think I'll learn how to do the triangle loop, and maybe I'll try segment knotting! ^^ By the way, Zenna, your pattern is really pretty. I can't wait to start it ^^

Work on them slowly, and read the pattern several times before knotting as they can be tedious to undo.

Hey guys!I have ADHD, I sometimes make mistakes when following a pattern with a lot of rows. I usually just keep the pattern open on my laptop while I look at TV or listen to music (I know TV does not help me concentrating). I just wanted to ask if any of you have any tips on how to keep your place in a long pattern or a short one who just starts over with switching colors ? Because I am trying to finish my bracelets, I tend to start a lot of bracelets and put them away when I make a mistake or the top of my bracelet is funky because I'm still praticing loops and whatnot. Thanks a lot! (: |
