Hey everyone, I’m wondering if anyone has used 4ply mercerised crochet cotton thread for bracelets? I know it will work alone but does it mix well with normal embroidery floss? They come in huge balls so I really wanted to use them for alpha backgrounds but I can only buy them online and nothing I found online told me about its exact thickness. Thanks! 👍

I used size 3 crochet thread for my base strings but that would be too thick for knotting with embroidery floss. I used size 10 thread with embroidery floss once and it was fine. It is slightly thinner than floss, so I removed one strand from the embroidery floss to try to balance it out, but you don't have to do that. You said you don't know how thick it is, so you could always order one ball and use it for base strings if the thickness does not work.
