Bracelet 'stretching' problem?

Hi everyon! Yesterday I was attemtping pattern #37852 but I started to get really frustrated because the design kept appearing kind of 'stretched' in the direction I was knotting? I dont have any photos of my own but, to demonstrate, it would appear something like https://media.braceletbookcdn.com/photos/000/000/211/331/000000211331/image.jpg when I want it to look something like https://media.braceletbookcdn.com/photos/000/000/134/920/000000134920/image.jpg. Is there an issue with the way I'm knotting that its always appearing longer/wider in the direction I'm knotting? Please help 🙁

There are a few things you can experiment with- how tight you knot (I think knotting looser generally helps) - the thickness of your base strings (thicker base strings will help) - pushing up the rows after you knotted them |

I experienced the same problem as well when I started making bracelets!! if you are using the flat alpha technique, the bracelet is destined to get a little stretched out. It could also be because of your knotting tension, so I would try loosening your knots a little bit. hope this helps! ❤️
