Straight Alpha/No Bumpy Edge?

Hi Everyone,I've noticed a few different photos or alpha bracelets where the edges of the bracelets aren't bumpy or ridged almost as if there is a different type of knot lining the edges? These bracelets always come out with clean nice straight edges and I'd love to recreate that in my own alphas! Does anyone know if this is a FB/BF knot or possibly some other method? |

@KatelynJoe I know that some people use FB and BF knots to keep the edges straighter/less bumpy. I’m doing an alpha right now with it and the edges aren’t bumpy, but they aren’t the straightest because not all of the knots were made the same size, but that’s probably just because I’m not the greatest at alphas yet. 🙂

Well I mean the only way we will get better together is practice so maybe it works! I'll have to try it with my next bracelet ☺️ thanks for testing it and helping me out ✨🍃🐝

To make the edges straighter, replace all knots along the left edge to backward-forward knots and all knots along the right edge to forward-backward knots. Do this for every single row.I hope this helps! Feel free to message me if you'd like more help. |

I love her videos but I've only seen one on how to keep straight edges for normal patterns and not alphas as of yet... Unless I've missed it somewhere? @Space_Ace

@Space_Ace and @KatelynJoe Marsha does have a video on how to make alphas, but it does not show you how to keep the edges straight. Maybe sometime in the future she will make a video on that.

In her video on how to make alphas she very briefly mentions that some people do forward-backward knots/ backward-forward knots at the edges but she doesn’t show what it looks like
