section knotting with alphas

If I have a section on my bracelet that is a vertical line of just yellow (every third, fourth and fifth knot on every row is yellow) can I just knot the yellow ones, and then move on to another colour? Similar to section knotting with normals?

Probably not since alphas depend on the horizontal knitting structure to stay together. If you do that it might create a lot of holes and gaps where the bracelet isn’t really connected anymore

Leafpool is right. I would expect you’d end up with a Chinese staircase around one string.
