I have noticed that my bracelets tend to curl after being wet. When they are finished they are flat however once they get wet they curl. I plan on selling some however I don’t want to have issues with potential buyers. What can I do to fix this?

I don’t know if there’s anything you can do to fix it, but I would just suggest writing/giving a disclaimer that bracelets may curl if wet and avoid contact with water (something along those lines). If you’re selling online, maybe put the disclaimer in the listing or attach a piece of paper in the package. If you’re selling in person though, you could just warn them about it

that's a great idea thanks ill for sure do that! I did see bracelets made from a water proof material, however them seemed to look a bit wonky bc of the stiffness

hey! i’ve had this problem many of times before too. i think the cause is from tight knots (which personally, i like) but i’m honestly not sure. what i do to ALL my bracelets; whether or not they’re even curling i just like the look, is to use a flattening iron! it will flatten the bracelet and give it a super nice clean look. hope this helped! <3

I also iron my bracelets but another thing that can help prevent curling is a triple coat of mod podge on the back. Just make sure it's the "outdoor" formula that is water-resistant or it'll wash off from sweat or getting wet.

Are you tying your knots really tight that might just be the reason to your bracelet curling

You might be tying your knots too tight 🙂 if that’s the case, try tying the first half of your knot looser (don’t tie the second half loose as that’s what keeps the knot in place), but from what you’ve described it sounds like it might just be the material. I find that some materials react differently to water than others 🙂
