Does anyone have tips for dealing with hand soreness? The pinky of the hand I use to hold the string straight (not my knitting hand if that makes sense) gets so sore. I tend to hold the thread to my palm with my pinky and ring finger while more finely manipulating it with my middle and index. I hope I'm describing that well. It's how I've done it for the last decade so changing is gonna be difficult, but if anyone has tips on how to told the string in the offhand without pain please share! Or just any general tips for soreness in hands when tying. I'm also a knitter so I have good hand strength and dexterity and do stretch my hands and wrists during long tying sessions.Ty! ❤️ |

Oops! Sorry for typos, I was on my phone. That should say "knotting hand" not "knitting hand" lol

I kind do the same so what I do is take quick breaks in between. Sorta like in intervals of 2 (depending on the soreness) and just stretch my hands, pop my knuckles, wiggle my fingers. Anything to give it a break from repetitive actions yk??

i used to hurt my pinkies making bracelets. that's because i knotted too tight. i discovered that you dont need to pull tight at all to make the knots look nice.

@dojac that makes sense, I do knot very tightly. I'll try loosening up my knots a bit.
