on my alpha bracelets the pattern always looks stretched out/ elongated compared to the pattern image. I am currently making #1735781 and the dragons face is looking a little chubby... lol. any tips?? I tried using a ruler to push up the knots but it isn't working very well :/

That is completly normal, to avoid it you can try to make your knots looser and push them up with a ruler after every row.

sometimes this happens when your base strings are too thin, you could possibly also try using thicker base strings or doubling them!

As previously mentioned, looser knots are really helpful! It may seem that the knots will be bigger and more elongated, but that isn't the case. I had the same issue when I first began making alphas, and the key is to make them looser. Make sure to push them up with a ruler/your fingernail.Hope this helps! 🙂 |

**Making your knots looser is the key to make it easier to use the ruler/fingernail.
