I tried making a bracelet but failed quite a few times and undid the knots to restart, now my thread is pretty badly frayed... Should i just use the thread like normal again or is it a bad idea? Would it still look ok? And if i shouldn't make a bracelet with it, is there any other way I could use the thread? thankss

Hi!In my experience, when I've undone my knots and the thread frayed, continuing with using the frayed thread doesn't affect how the bracelet looks. As long as you are keeping your knot tension consistent, it should work fine. (I'm assuming that the thread has just split apart and isn't totally broken or ruined.) One thing I would definitely recommend for any fraying thread is to tie a small knot in the very end. That way, even if the strands come apart at the top, they can't totally separate. This has helped me with knotting with fraying thread in the past. Anyway, it should be fine. Hope this helped! ❤️ |

Uhh don’t know if you still needed help but I use wax to prevent mine from fraying so easily(I make a lot of mistakes). I just rub my thread on a candle or stick of beeswax. Any wax-like object should work really. It also makes my bracelet look a lot neater in my opinion.
