Help me with my starburst

Just wondering how long I should make my strings for a starburst? I've never made one and I'm excited to try. I'm making it into a bracelet not a keychain. Thanks!

I'm not sure since I haven't really done one myself yet. I usually always measure my string from my fingertips of the left hand to my right shoulder. If I notice a string is used more often, I will make it longer.But that's not the advice I wanted to give: I recommend checking out a tutorial on it on YouTube. Usually tutorials give you the string length you'll need. |

the 35+ string ones i would do it longer than that. and the outlining string of the starburst would be longest because u use a lot of it.

I cut mine around 2 in a half meters. One time I cute them one meter, and then when I folded them in half, and did one of the starbursts, I had to replace every single string and it took for ever! 😂

I usually measure my strings to be a "wingspan-and-a-half" for mine and hardly ever run out of string. 😊
