I'm having trouble figuring out the actual segment knotting technique. its kinda confusing for me, and I'm not sure if there is another efficient way to figure out how to knot bracelets in segments. I've watched Masha Knots's video on how to segment knot, and read the segment knotting tutorial that @halokiwi made on bb. specifically, I'm trying to figure out how to segment knot #31368. plz give some tips to a gurl in need. tysm!

I recommend trying to find chevron or diamond shapes in the pattern. Take a screenshot of the pattern or print it out, then draw these shapes into it. In the pattern you want to figure out there isn't just one way you can do it. That's the case for most patterns but especially for this one, but that's also an advantage. There are lots of knots between two knots of the same colour. For these you can make any knots you like. You can pick the knots that help you create the longest uninterrupted diagonal. For this pattern you can take the colourful shapes as a good orientation. I would not recommend this pattern as the first one to figure out segment knotting. I recommend a pattern that either follows a candystripe or chevron structure and does not really have a background like this pattern has. |
