How do I get straight lines

None of my lines seem to come out straight (lines as in the ones you see in diamond patterns etc), and I don’t know how to fix it

it might have to do w the thickness of ur strings. if ur using all the same brand, try experimentin w knot tension. if they’re different tensions the knots aren’t the same size so it throws off the rowd

I second what the others say and want to add that it could be helpful to practice with simple patterns that have only two colours and not too many colour changes. They're a lot easier and once you can do those, you can 'level up' to more colours and more complex patterns.
