Tips on consistent weight knots?

In my recent bracelets, I’ve started out with very tight knots but then not been able to make them tight consistently. I want them to be more loose… the newest picture on my profile is a bracelet I made for my younger sibling and it’s not soft like my other bracelets. But I also don’t want my knots to be too loose, does anyone have any tips? I’m sure this has been asked before but there’s way too much in the forums to go through

make them not loose where there’s strings across the knots if that makes sense. make them close together, but not right.

What I would do to be more consistent is to just make the knots hay feel comfortable for you…in my opinion the thicker the string the looser my knots get even if I tie them tight. I would play around with the brand or kind of string you like and see if that helps…also if you use a clipboard to hold your bracelets switching to tape could help the consistency. I hope this helps!

Everyone has a sweet spot for knot tension. As you continue to practice, try to experiment with different knot tensions until your bracelets start turning out the way you want them to. Based on advice from @clairehair, try to make your knots looser in every bracelet, until they become loose enough and still look good. I hope this helps! 😊 |

practice and practice and pracetice. My tension have varied a lot since I have started. I started with tension so great that I can rip the threads. Then after many bracelets, I have finally come to a comfortable and habitual level of tension. I think I have made more than 30,000 knots, probably more.
