looser knots. that really helps so that way you when you make rows without a lot of colors, it’ll fit better

I try to pull every knot tightly, but all the same size. And when switching out I find it best to take the strings that you are moving out of the way and try to tape them securely so you can focus on the next couple knots. Practice makes perfect

when alphas get weird and wonky on the sides, I wouldn't worry about it too much. One thing that you can do is follow the straight flat alpha procedure and do bf knots on left and fb knots on the right of your bracelet. Masha Knots also has a good video on color changes on the edge of alphas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T6eRTOWtHlUHope this helps! |

As @lucass_ mentioned, looser knots do help a lot. Your overall knot tension is what really helps decide the bumps on the sides and the surface of the bracelet. I would also suggest using a ruler to straighten out your rows, and to use the straight edge technique if you aren't already. 😊
