Whenever I’m making a bracelet, the beginning of the pattern always looks horrible! It straightens out and looks ok after the first 10 rows or so, but is there any way I can make my bracelets look neater at the beginning? Thank you!

I really like starting bracelets with a macramé loop (theres a tutorial on how to do it on the app/website) because it makes the bracelet even and straight from the start but you do need an even amount of each color of thread you use in your bracelet (so you couldn’t do one that requires only 1 strand of a color)

Practice. But also, if you know you’re working with a larger number of strings try starting with more than one loop at the top.

Thank you both! I will definitely try the loop and I do need to make sure I work on cleaning up my smaller bracelets before I move onto bigger ones lol

On the first couple of rows I just really take my time because if you have neat rows to begin with it helps you make the rest of the rows look a lot better

it’s really just a lot of practice. my first few bracelets looked wonky and had tons of holes but then I just started paying closer attention to everything and kept doing them. it’ll eventually get better 🙂
