Hi!I wanted to make this pattern https://www.braceletbook.com/patterns/normal/25916/ The issue I'm having is that we have three black strings. I like to make loops at the beginning of bracelets and then cut half the amount of strings. So when I start tying, I have double the amount. I'm sure you know what I mean. But when there's an uneven amount of strings, I don't know how to bring in the extra one. Is it not possible to make a loop then? Or do I just put the string into the loop knots? |

I usually make my loops the same way! When I face the problem of the odd number strings, I usually take the doubled ones and knot them as usual. Then, right before I finish tightening it (when the knot is still a looser loop around the base), I insert the single strings in the side and then tighten the knot with them in it. Just for extra measure, I then take the end that is now part of the loop and tie a knot with it right above the base knot. Does that make sense? Ask me if you have questions about any of this

I do the loop with the even amount and then I take the third string and cut it the length of the other strings once they’re looped. I tie the string on in a knot right at the loop and then they’re all connected- did that make sense?

Masha Knots recently came out with a tutorial on making loops with odd numbers of strings. Just search up "Making a loop with odd numbers of thread"
