Hi! I have clasps (similar to a key ring) and want to use it on both ends. Any suggestions on the best way to do this? My thought is to leave string on each end, make the bracelet and just make ties and tie them to the clasp. Please let me know if you have thoughts 🙂 |

A picture search gave me different results of how a clasp looks like. Could you post a link to a picture of what your clasps look like, please?

you can do it like taking the base strings and the lay them all flat, and then fold them around the flat part of the d clip and then glue it to the back. i’ve seen ppl do it w dowels

The link is perfect, thank you for posting it. 🙂 Do you want to use those clasps for keyrings or as an open-close-mechanism for a bracelet? For a keyring, you could try this (though the clasp will not be fixed to the ends): Knot the first half of the pattern, put a few base strings from the middle through the ring and then knot the second half. When you're done, you can fold it in the middle and tie the ends. And maybe sew the sides together as well. Here are two pictures of what it looks like: Frontside: https://media.braceletbookcdn.com/photos/000/000/083/748/000000083748/image.jpg Backside: https://media.braceletbookcdn.com/photos/000/000/083/747/000000083747/image.jpg For a bracelet, you could start the bracelet with a loop like this: https://media.braceletbookcdn.com/photos/000/000/155/129/000000155129/image.jpg and knot the ends of the bracelet to the ring: https://media.braceletbookcdn.com/photos/000/000/022/142/000000022142/image.jpg This way you could easily open and close your bracelet at the loop. |
