Teardrop loop?

I don't know how to make a teardrop loop. I've tried ti a few times but I always seem to end up with more strings than I need and end up cutting some then the whole pattens gets screwed up.How can I learn? Does anyone have any tips? |

Maybe start with an easier loop first. I just suggested the teardrop loop because I thought it would look good with the item you were trying to make.
