So lately, I've been trying out making alphas, and my basic/neutral colors always run out really quickly. I was wondering if I could use crochet thread instead, and what size should the thread be if I want it to be the same size as my other embroidery floss? Thank you!

I’ve heard that size 5 is similar to embroidery floss, but I’ve never seen it so I can’t say for sure. I know size 10 is much smaller than embroidery floss, so you can double it up and use it for base strings (this works especially well for keychains and wall hangings). And size 3 is bigger than embroidery floss, but you can still use it for base strings.
