So I currently have NO motivation to knot. If you know any tips on getting out of a bracelet slump I would greatly appreciate it. I've probably only knotted 2 to 3 things in the last couple of months and I really want to start knotting more. If anyone has any tips or ideas please lmk. Thanks!!!

@katherined you could make a bracelet that you have enjoyed in the past or you could make a simple bracelet that doesn't take too long to make ex. candy stripe and cheveron! hope this helps! 😄

I would suggest trying out a new technique to get you more motivated. For example, you could try an alpha normal merge or the upside alpha technique

When I am on a slump I usually watch bracelet related videos so for example monthly wrap ups or just scroll to the “friendship bracelet” hashtag on instagram. You could also try and look for patterns you really like so you get exited to make them or join a challenge.

Hi! A great way to get out of a slump is to look at creations! It will motivate you to work more! Remember not to push it to hard. It’ll come back to you.

Masha Knots made a video recently on how to get out of a slump that I found really helpful. I recommend checking it out

Hey! I know this is quite late, but my suggestion is to make something simple like a flower chain or chevron. Something that takes very little time. Personally that helps me get out of one 🙂 |

@graciehenn Thank you!!! I'm knotting a fairly simple normal now, and I might start a collection of flower chains (:

Don’t force yourself! But if you really want to start again make something small like a zipper bracelet candy stripe or chevron or do a tiny alpha maybe make it a bracelet by adding a background or make it a key chain! But don’t force yourself unless you really want to, and if you want to, make something small

I’m in a slump at the moment too so what I am doing is making a one colour alpha with no image with some pretty colour changing thread. I hope this helps!!

Make an easy but fun bracelet, watch bracelet videos, look at bracelet Instagrammers, buy some new supplies, try a challenge, or try a new technique 🙂

Hello! The ways I get out of a bracelet slump is to get off of braceletbook. It seems weird but it works for me. I think the logic behind this is that I get so sick of looking at bracelets I just need to step away. The way I discovered this is when my mom took my phone away. I was in a huge bracelet slump, but I stepped away for about two days and I came back to it and made a full bracelet in one sitting. So moral of the story you just need to step away and look at why you are doing this or any hobby I guess.Anyway hope this helped in some way! Have a great day and happy knotting! ❤️ |

Hi! I normally just try and find inspiration and try and be a active bb user! It helps when I see how cool others bracelets turn out!

What works best for me: -Start a new bracelet instead of continuing a work in progress -Get new string/pick out a new colour combo you really like-I always let my sister pick out the combos when I am in a slump. Fresh eyes help! -Maybe try a new type of bracelet if technique that you don't make that often-I had been making a lot of alphas then after my latest slump started making normals again and it really helped! -Find a pattern you are excited to make -Listen to music, a podcast, or watch a show or a movie while knotting (if you don't already) -Lastly, don't force it make bracelets because you are excited to! (All the tips above normally get me excited to make bracelets after a slump) |

I look at photos of bracelets people upload (whether here or on IG) when i’m in a bit of a slump, to find a pattern i really want to make. 🙂
