@chocochip If you need 4 strands for a colour, take your string and measure out 2 wingspans, then fold that in half for a loop to get 2 strands. Do this once more for your other 2 of that colour. Hope this makes sense. 🙂 No problem for the follow up questions.

@chocochip If you aren't making a loop, then use 1 wingspan for each thread, not folded in half.

@cherrxliza hello, masha knots has a tutorial called fixing mistakes on her YouTube channel. It will tell you how to replace it using a similar technique to the flat alpha colour changing.

@cherrxliza if your base string is too short, you can cut another one and tape it down in place of the short one, then just knot on it like normal

How do I do backward/forward & forward/backward knots without the top part of the string being loose? 💌

@chelsea115 once you make the second half of the knot the knot should be secured.bf and fb knots are really not that different from f and b knots. The first half of the fb knot is like the f knot and the second half like the b knot. For the bf knot it is the other way around. You should not be running into any issues that you run into when making f or b knots. |

hallo!I'm thinking of making a normal and alpha combination bracelet (I don't know exactly what they're called) are there are any tutorials that can help? any suggestions for the normal pattern in the bracelet? |

@PugCakePop Megan Morris has done an episode of knotting dangerously on it: https://youtu.be/Jq2e1qs9y2wIt's not a tutorial, but you see the process in it. For the normal pattern I recommend something simple like a chevron, arrowheads or diamonds so the alpha stands out more. Here are some patterns where @oceanknot made some suggestions on which patterns to combine: https://www.braceletbook.com/patterns/?keywords=%22alpha+normal%22+ |

hi! i’ve made a few alphas now using the flat alpha technique. one thing i can’t seem to get right is hiding the new strings that are inserted into the bracelet once i finish the bracelet. i know you can just cut them off but how do i keep it from looking ugly/ looking really obvious? thanks!

@ashjoyner LillyGrace posted a video with tips about cleaning up the backs of your alphas. https://youtu.be/09V-jbn6zug . If you still don’t like the way the backs of your alphas look though, you can also sew or hot glue a piece of felt or fabric to the back of your alpha. There’s also the clean back technique, which I’ve never tried because it takes a lot of time and effort lol, but if you’re interested, here’s a tutorial https://youtu.be/Qm7FdZO4c80
