ok so on pattern #27381 it is basically all forward backward and backward forward knots with a few forward knots mixed in. i am literally going crazy because i dont know if i should find a way to segment knot it or just do it row by row. any tips? 🙂

since it’s basically a 1212 pattern (a pattern with all or mostly fb and bf knots), i recommend knotting it row by row, since 1212 patterns are extremely difficult to segment knot. 🙂

yeah i was thinking about that earlier. i think i am down to the option of maybe doing it row by row. do you think that its kind of my only option left? 🤔

hmm there is always the option of knotting the pattern like a candystripe or like a chevron. with a candystripe, you would knot the pattern in diagonal lines, of course using the knots specific to the pattern rather than all forward knots or all backward knots. knotting it like a chevron would be a similar concept where you knot the v shape, using knots specific to the pattern instead of f knots on the left and b knots on the right. i think it’s your preference what you want to do, but those may be options as well if you don’t want to knot it completely row by row. 🙂

i think row by row is the best option especially cause it should help you stay on track and not get confused by trying to segment knot a bunch of smaller portions
