@Lou_22 Hey! I have used DMC Etoile and found it fairly easy to work with and the finished project always comes out very nice! It is on the expensive side though so I use it sparingly. Hope that helps! 😁

Be careful when you're making alphas with it, though. The knots come out pretty small, so if you're mixing it with "standard" strings, I suggest tying a little looser with this one, to avoid bending of the rows / edges.

Yes I actually just got this and it is AMAZING to knot on as base strings BUT it’s rather tangled and hard to get out of the skein...

Yes I love using it! I recommend tying a small knot at the end of the string so it doesn't unravel. As for me, the know size is the same. I use DMC for all my strings.
