String types and thicknesses

Hiya everyone,I was just wondering what string people use? I started with embroidery floss. Decided it makes the bracelets too thick so split embroidery floss in half (3 strands instead of 6) that seems to work better for normal patterns. I have now moved on to alphas and it’s too difficult to split a full skein in half. I found some cotton made by Dmc called broder that looks to be half thickness. Also Dmc perle #8. So was just wondering what cotton people use for alpha bracelets? Is there a thin yarn you can buy? Also nearly all the patterns I’ve added to my todos end up being too long for a bracelet? Any tips would be fantastic. Thank you x Emma |

for alpha bracelets i usually use embroidery floss and it works fine
