Hello! So I really like the fit and clean look of a bracelet when you tie a button on the end, and I've watched @_kinseyb's tutorial on it (on youtube) a couple times. I do exactly what she does, going through each hole in the button, but my buttons come off almost immediately. By then I've already double-knotted it and pulled tight, and cut off the excess string. So I'm left with a bracelet with like a centimeter of awkward string at the end and it can't be a bracelet anymore. Just a weirdly long keychain?? Am I doing something wrong? 🤔 🤨

You've got to do a reef knot. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reef_knot
You most likely ended up doing a granny knot which is not as secure https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Granny_knot

In the video Kinsey says to do a couple of f knots but she is alternating f and b knots which will lead to a reef knot. If you only do one type you will end up with a granny knot.

You also could do the reef knot and then take clear nail polish over it to make sure it won’t come apart. That’s what I always do.

For your current bracelets you could use glue to reattach them

@adacreates When I put a button on mine I knot it 2 times on the back and then put a little bit of glue or nail polish on it. Have you tried that?
