I’m starting to get headaches when I make bracelets, even if I only knot for short periods of time and ensure I’m in good lighting. It may be because I’m not drinking enough water, or I need to have my eyes checked. Does this happen to anyone else, and has anyone got any methods to combat this? Thanks!

I would say have a big bottle of water sitting near your workspace or some aspirin

@dachshund8 I find when I focus really hard on what I'm making something I get headaches. It could also be how you're sitting that's making you get headaches.

Honestly, take a few breaks, and have something to divert your mind so you’re not sitting for long time periods. Sometimes, I have my recorder sitting next to me, and whenever my mind gets jumbled or tired, I take a few minutes to play some songs I really like!

Take a nap, recently I knotted a lot and I got sprain on my shoulders now, my mother has restricted to make anything for now, taking a nap seriously helps!!

Sometimes, I'm making something on my bed, and my back and neck start to hurt. Just make sure you're having good posture, I guess! Sorry if I'm sounding like your gym teachers 😛. Yes, taking naps an be the highlight of one's quarantine day, along with knotting!

Make sure your posture is good, try not to hunch over or bend forward a lot. Make sure you're hydrated, rested, and have had enough to eat, as a lack of any of those things can result in headaches. Make sure your lighting is good, and try glasses or a magnifier if you're having trouble seeing knots and notice yourself straining to see them. Paying attention to all these things should help. I get headaches a lot in general, so I've picked up a few tips along the way to manage them.

This has happened a lot to me but I would reccomend to keep changing your posture while knotting, take a few breaks, maybe get some fresh air, drink lots of water (you could keep a bottle of water next to you) hope this helps!

I get headaches sometimes when I'm knotting try looking a something far away 10 or 20 feet away and look at it for a few minutes don't try to make out the details of what you're looking at but give you eyes and brain a chance to stop looking at something so close with so much detail. Hope this helps!!
