For pattern #25054 I have 2 questions, 1) should I do the straight edge technique, and 2) how long (in feet) should I cut the strings. (This is the starburst pattern)

In a starburst I would definitely recommend using the straight edges technique. I try to but most of the time I forget and it looks better in my opinion with straight edges.

I’ve never made a starburst, but in the site and app section of the forum, there’s forum called STRING LENGTH CALCULATOR and you can say what pattern you’re doing, if you want a loop or not, and how long the knotted part of your bracelet will be. Then, the moderator running the forum can let you know how long to cut each string
