Yes, you need to have a pattern that has an even number of strings to do a teardrop loop and you need to fold your strings in half. What’s the pattern number?

Oh ok, since this is an alpha, you can actually make it with an odd number of strings. Here’s a tutorial where (they explain what to do with an odd number of strings at steps 31,32,and 33) https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/96_macrame-loop-tutorial-for-alpha-patterns/Here’s another tutorial as well https://www.braceletbook.com/tutorials/133_shaped-starts-and-ends-for-odd-stringed-alphas/ Also, I’m not really sure what you mean by teardrop loop because I’m pretty sure you can only do triangle ends for alphas |
