Forum - Bracelet tying - Making a straight bracelet

So, I was looking at pictures and I see bracelets with really straight sides, and bracelets with really uneven sides (this is usually with alpha patterns). I was wondering if there is anything I can do to help with the bracelets I make that have really uneven sides. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I was also wondering the same thing I always have the same problem with all types of bracelets I think because I make bracelets over the course of a few days and I think of cuz how tight I tie my knots because sometimes I tie tighter and other days I tie looser and the bracelets look a little crooked when I'm done and hopefully someone can help? Thanks

I either tape down the bracelet on the board or something and if I don't have it I constantly check how tight I'm tying the strings on the edges and a tip is that if you are taking the background color to the other side you may need to be gentle with the first knot. Or on the ends around 4 strings Coles to the edge you don't want them to be so tight because it throws the bracelet out of proportion. And also try for the beggining row to make it not so tight. I've noticed when people do this the rows get weird. Hope this helps in some way.
