Crisscrossing In Bracelets

So, i have seen bracelets in the photos where the bracelet goes for a while and then the 2 halves separate then cross over each other and join back together. How in the world do people do this? Is there a video or something? Also, how comfortable is it?

basically you make the bracelet up til the twisted/braided part and then you make 2 or 3 "separate" bracelets they are connected from the first few rows you did and then you twist or braid the 2/3 sections and then continue knotting your bracelet. I'm not sure if that made any sense but you can watch the video above to view the technique.
