It's a little hard to explain when I can't post photos how I do this, but I'll try. First, there needs to be about 2 inches or so of your broken string left. If it's shorter than that, you'll have to undo a few rows till it's long enough. Then, cut a replacement string as long as you need it, plus a few inches. Pull the broken string back up behind your bracelet, out of the way. Tape the end of the new string to your clipboard or work surface, this'll keep it steady. Pull the new string behind your bracelet, and position it where the broken string was. Knot your next row like normal, only where your broken string was, knot onto your new string. Once you've tied a few rows, flip the bracelet over. Tie the end of your broken string and the end of your new string that was taped to your clipboard together in a tight knot. Continue knotting like usual. Hope this helps!

I’ve had both strings in alpha bracelets break, both knot ones and background, I simply tie another one on and it looks a little odd when doing the bracelet but when finished you can barely tell
