My normal bracelets always seem to curve to one side. idk why tho. also, when I put it on my wrist, the bracelet almost seems to curve in. like one side is wider then the other and so the thinner side goes closer to my wrist... does that make sense?

@CakeCupWhen knotting try not to pull the bracelet to the left or the right but try to pull it straight down. Another reason might be that you might be making f and b knots with different tightness. Try to make all knot types equally as tight. Bracelets like the candystripe that have mainly one knot type will always have the tendency to curve. |

I just bought some new thread and it is kinda thin than normal embroidery floss. And it is multicolored so if I double up the string, will my knots be messed up while making the bracelet ?

@FunzKnoter How much thinner is this thread? If it’s significantly thinner, than doubling up on it could be a good idea. However if it’s just a little bit thinner, then maybe you could try removing one or two strands of your embroidery floss to make it the same thickness. However, this shouldn’t be necessary in a normal pattern, but if you want your edges straight in an alpha and/or a flat alpha, you might want to try to make them the same thickness. You can also try different knot tensions and see what works best. For example, knot tighter with the thicker thread and looser with the thinner thread. Just out of curiosity though, what brand of string are you using ( both the multicolor thread and the regular embroidery thread)?

@oceanknot Thank you so much.I will definitely try.For normal embroidery floss I use a lot of brands like DMC,some brand called Doli and Anchor thread for white and black. The thin thread I got I don’t know the brand because I got it as a present. But it is for example it is half the thickness of normal embroidery floss.I did a test run with the thin thread with the normal embroidery floss and the thin thread’s knots were a bit thin compared to embroidery floss.

@FunzKnoter Oh ok. If it’s half the thickness, you can either double up on the multicolor thread or remove three strands of the DMC/Anchor thread. I’m not sure if doubling up on the multicolor thread will make it look weird, but you can always try and see what you like
