how to I add embroidery without widening the bracelet?

I want to embroider flowers and such onto a blank white bracelet. However, it seems like embroidered areas widen a bracelet and makes the width inconsistent. How can I avoid this?

I have never embroidered a bracelet myself but I have two suggestions:- try to knot the base bracelet looser so there's more space between the knots - use a thinner string to embroider |
