Do any of you use crochet thread in your bracelets? If so what size do you use? I usually use size 5 but my knots keep flipping is that because the string is to thick?

Hi, I don't think the issue comes from using crochet thread. When making knots make sure you are holding the string you are knotting onto tightly while knotting. If the issue is that a previous knot flips make sure that you pull the second half of the knot tight enough so it's secured and less likely to flip. You can also hold the string you are knotted on previously tightly when making the next knot. Another thing you might want to do is pull less strong on the string you are knotting with. The only thing you need to make sure of is that the first half of the knot is made closely to the previous row. For that you don't need to pull super tight. I'm sure you'll find the right balance with more practice 🙂 |

I use size 3 crotchet thread, specifically Aunt Lydia’s crotchet thread fashion 3, and it works fine for me.

I never tried knotting with it though, I only use it for base strings

I also use size 3 crochet thread for base strings. I find it helps combat some of the stretched pattern look that I struggle with and it is nice to work with.
