[NEED ADVICE] Tying normal pattern bracelets with embroidery thread

Hi!I tried making a normal pattern bracelet with embroidery thread instead of knitting thread and there were a lot of spaces between the knots and didn't feel secure enough. When I used to make normal pattern bracelets with knitting thread, the bracelet looked great, no spaces between the knots, felt more secure, regardless how different the knots (types) were, but with embroidery thread it didn't look that great. Is this to be expected due to knitting thread being thicker or is there a way to fix this issue and make the bracelets look neat? I'd like to have normal pattern bracelets that look as neat as alphas, but I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. |

Hi, this is completely normal. My first bracelets after I switched to embroidery floss turned out horrible as well because I just wasn't used to it. Make sure to pull the first half of the knot tight before making the second half.

@punklaidas I never worked with knitting thread.. I always work with embroidery thread and at first I had the same problem but with time and practice I developed methods to deal with that. I dont really know how to explain it but sometimes i hold the pair of threads before the ones I'm trying with the pair im tying so the first knot wont get loos while I'm making the second. I hope you'll eventually get used to it cause in my opinion they look better then bracelet from knitting thread. Good luck 😉

When I make my bracelets knots I make the first part of the knot as tight as I can because the second can only be less tight. I think you just need to make it tighter.

just pull ur knots tighterI've alway made my bracelets with embroider thread 👍 and thats what works for me the holes are there because ur knots aren't tight enough hope this helped 😄 |
