i recently got some thread from christmas but the knots it makes are smaller than dmc and other thread i own, what should i do to make it work?

Only use dmc thread with dmc thread and tho other thread only with the same kind or it will come out uneven and winked

hmm, idk. if you make a bracelet with that string ever, maybe just use that string so it wont turn out wonky. If it isnt super thin maybe if you tie knots looser with that string and tighter with the other one it will work. i hope i helped!

If the knots are much smaller, then maybe try doubling up on the thread. However, if that makes it too thick, then maybe only use them for normals, but not alphas. If you still want to use it for alphas, then just specifically use that brand when knotting. I’m sorry if this wasn’t very helpful, but those are all the ideas I have.

If the thread is smaller than Dmc's thread you can just take out 2 or less strands out of the Dmc thread so it can be even. (The Dmc thread should be made out of 6 thin strands, then pull out as many as you need to make it even with the smaller one) 👍

I’m not really an expert, but I guess just don’t use the new and old string in the same pattern so it won’t look bumpy 🙂

You probably should just use that string by it self and not with any other brands. Or... you could also use them as base strings in alphas because they don't have to be the same thickness when they are base strings. Happy knotting!
