Do I need to make my knots tighter on pattern #25054? I have never made a pattern that big before and wasn’t sure if I needed to do anything different. I was also wondering how long my strings need to be on this particular one?

For me personally I don’t make my knots tighter for different patterns. As for string length, go with your wingspan+an extra 12 inches or so. Is generally good to make strings longer for bigger patterns, but you can always insert more string if needed. I hope this helps 🙂

@niwoodward yes thank you! Also is wingspan from your fingertips across your chest and to your other fingertips?

@nightknots yes, wingspan is from fingertips to fingertips. Glad I could help!

I think that you should make your knots loose because it makes the bracelet much softer and makes it less hard on your hands to knot for longer amounts of time. Happy knotting!

@stewon6969 I do tend to make knots looser I was just wondering if I needed to make them tight for bigger bracelets

I never change the tightness of my knots, I knot relatively loose, but not enough that I can see holes through the knots. I always use the same tightness for any bracelet and pattern .
